My peonies bloomed just in time for Green Thumb Sunday! I've been watching the buds growing larger and larger til they were almost bursting, so I knew they would bloom soon. They are beautiful this year! These peonies were planted before we bought the house, and there are 4 different varieties. The fourth is a deep red, but it's not blooming yet. Usually it's a few days to a week later than the others. Below are the three that are blooming. There fragrance is also lovely!

I can almost smell the delightful fragrance!!! Beautiful photos.
My GTS is posted for today, hope you can stop by for a visit. Have a glorious day.
They're really gorgeous -- thanks for sharing the photos with us!
They are gorgeous. I like the look of the last photo the best. The pink is so delicate. I don't know what peony smells like, and I've never seen the flower essence as an ingredient in perfumes. I wonder why, as everyone always comments that they have such a wonderful fragrance. Happy GTS,
Aiyana
Thanks for sharing the peony pics...they extended my peony season since most of the peonies around here have bloomed and are gone. I plan to plant some peonies in front of my house which faces the south sometime next spring.
Beautiful peonies.
The daylilies are beginning to bloom at

Thanks everyone! I'm so bummed though- it rained and rained and stormed so they look pretty beat up now, but there are more buds. I'll go out tomorrow and see if I can stake them somehow. The dark red peony should be blooming then too!
They have a really light fragrance but it's pretty. I want to plant more. I'd love to have a yellow and a purplish one.
Thank you so much for finding and visiting my blog this last week. I thought I would return the favor. Your Peonies are just beautiful! When we moved into this house 13 years ago we had the most beautiful Peonies. White, Pink and Red. But over the years, the overhead tree branches have grown so thick, the flowers don't get enough sun to open their buds. We got 2 this year, that's all. I miss the full bushes of blooms. Beautiful pics you took!
Wow, those are just gorgeous!
